Welcome to Vulcan Industries Andrew!
True to form at Vulcan Industries, a Nebraska Cornhusker has joined the sales team in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Andrew Synhorst, PE will be supporting the efforts of Norm Jackman and Kyle Wilhelm to promote our screening and thickening technologies to municipalities and industries throughout North America.
Born in Lincoln (imagine that), Andrew grew up playing soccer and wanting to become a doctor just like his grandfather. That changed once he took his first biology class in college. “There was too much boring memorization! I needed more of a hard science…” That turning point eventually led Andrew down the path of earning a physics degree from Nebraska Wesleyan and ultimately a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska. For the past eight (8) years, Andrew worked for JEO Consulting Group, a local firm in Omaha where he focused on municipal water, wastewater, and storm water infrastructure projects. He made the move to Vulcan earlier this year, so he could, “be in front of clients more often and educate them on technologies while still applying my engineering background. Working at Vulcan affords me the opportunity of having the best of both worlds.” If a degree in physics wasn’t enough, Andrew is currently taking classes at night and will receive his MBA in May of next year from Creighton University.
Andrew currently resides in Papillion, NE with his wife, Michaela and children Connor (17 months) and Caroline (3 months).
Welcome aboard Andrew!
